Meet Gary

His roots run deep in Lubbock

For Gary Boren, public service means one thing: Lubbock. He was born here, raised here, and has spent a lifetime building up the community he calls home.

A graduate of Monterey High School and Texas Tech University, Gary went on to help build G. Boren Services into the seventh-largest private employer across the 15-county South Plains and Eastern New Mexico region — creating jobs and opportunities for West Texas families.

For more than three decades he led the firm's human resources, event staffing, and licensed-security divisions, serving Texas Tech University and Athletics, the City of Lubbock, the county election office, area hospitals, and local schools.

He served the people of Lubbock on the City Council, where his leadership helped freeze property taxes for seniors 65 and older and for the disabled. Today he continues that service on the Board of the Brazos River Authority, appointed by Governor Greg Abbott, bringing deep water expertise to the work ahead on Lubbock's Lake 7.

Where Gary Stands

What I'm fighting for

Common-sense priorities to keep Lubbock safe, affordable, and growing — for every family in District 4.

A Fighter for Lower Taxes

As a former city councilman, Gary's leadership helped freeze property taxes for those 65 and older and the disabled. He knows lower taxes generate growth — and he'll be a watchdog for every taxpayer dollar.

Stop Crime · Back the Blue

Safe neighborhoods come first. Gary is proudly endorsed by the Lubbock Professional Police Association and believes more police on our streets means less crime in our community.

Securing Lubbock's Water

Appointed by Gov. Abbott to the Brazos River Authority, Gary brings extensive water expertise that will be invaluable during the design and construction of Lubbock's Lake 7.

Experience That Delivers

Having already served on the City Council, Gary brings institutional knowledge and a steady hand. He can step in on day one and begin working for Lubbock citizens without delay.

Protect Lubbock from Sharia Law

Gary will always defend the U.S. Constitution and American law in Lubbock, and firmly opposes replacing them with any foreign legal system, including Sharia law.
